Cat Rescue meet Cactus Blossum

How's Cactus doing? Getting comfortable enough to come out in the daytime a bit?

Josie was feral when I adopted her years ago. Had never been indoors, and killed all my larger houseplants peeing in their dirt.
Hid under the bed for days, but eventually adapted & warmed up and now she's moderately friendly.
She likes to take up a position next to me, just within reach so I can reach down and pet her occasionally.
Still doesn't like to be handled except on her own terms, but she'll jump up in my lap sometimes.
And every night once I'm in bed she curls up by my shoulder.

She still plays rough, though. I get scratches and pinch bites: it's not aggression, just full-strength playfulness.
I like to say she was half wild when I took her in, but after eight years together she's half tame.

Finally !! The first contact. Each night she would get closer & closer. Eating like a champ & oh my does she play at night !!
Wow! Yours makes noise! Mine makes muted sounds, like muted chirps, unless she’s really upset…then she sounds mournful. Only when she thinks I’ve left her…like if I go down into the studio, and shut the door behind me…and, apparently, when I leave for work sometimes.
Yours is looking kinda Russian Blue…she has the legs and body like one.

Mine chirps all the basically. She now hangs with me all day since yesterday when i come in & out throughout the day. She wants to jump up to me. Started to let me pet for extended time. Good stuff
