Cast Iron

Cast iron is the best, once properly seasoned, nothing sticks, and makes the absolute best pan fried steaks ever.
Sadly ours are no longer with us, that means I am going to be on the hunt, because the only one left is only the size of a couple of eggs!!
A good cast iron pan will last a lifetime.
Some have lasted several lifetimes.

Cast is the only thing I will use. I have cast to cook almost anything you want.
Been looking for a 20gal cauldron for years now but they go for a pertty penny

There are folks who collect pans the way we musicians collect guitars & amps.

With me for a few years it was knives. The most often-used ones hang right over the stove in my tiny apartment kitchen.
But there are a bunch of others hiding out of sight.

Well here is the last of my cast.
The small dutch oven with the handle was my great grandfather's that him and great grama migrated across the states with. Other than that the only other history I know of it is 19 century. I've cooked all kinds of things in the 2 dutch ovens. The hardest thing I've done in them is chocolate cake without burning it. This doesnt account for the stuff I have give away to freinds.
