Carr makes nice stuff but I personally consider them to be hideously overpriced for what you get. For high-end "vintagey" vibe/sounds I think Tone King bests Carr if you're shopping in that price range.

Yeah, that is some serious wampum for a 10 watt amp. Sure they sound good but there are plenty of alternatives that sound equally good for less money.

I played through a Carr once, don't remember the model, but honestly and not kidding I think my Princeton Reverb Reissue sounds as good after a speaker upgrade.

Well boys and girls, syscokid learns a new word today: "mazooma"
I'm going to incorporate this word into my DNA.

Yeah, that is some serious wampum for a 10 watt amp. Sure they sound good but there are plenty of alternatives that sound equally good for less money.

One alternative, IMO, would be the new Morgan MVP66. $2100 for the combo. $1900 for the head.
