Can Your Meat Diet Kill You???

Well, I started this journey with breakfast on Sunday July 16, 2017 - I weighed in at 230 pounds at 6'-2" tall. I cut out all meat, and all dairy/eggs, but changed nothing else. No more or less water intake, no more or less coffee intake and no exercise at all yet.

This morning I weighed 219.9 pounds. I have way more energy and feel really great. Although I have always felt good, it's nice to feel great.....
Congrats man. I have been working on shedding some pounds myself this year. I started at 193.3 and was down to 183.2 earlier this week. My target is 172 but if I get there, I might try to push it further. I have done so by working out and cutting out excessive snacking. I knew I had a problem last fall when I was watching a football game and ate an entire box of cheese its. An entire box. I have pretty much eliminated fast food and really cut down on soda and candy and ice cream daily which was hard but it has paid off. I even try not to drink Mon-Thurs (workout days) as well and drink a double deuce Chelada the remaining 3 days (rest days).

By the way don't worry if your weight spikes back up. Mine bounces all over the place, I think a lot of it has to do with salt intake. As long as you see an overall downward trend, that is good. You can download apps to your phone to keep a log.

I also quit smoking 4 months ago after 20 years. I am weaning myself off with a vape pen and am down from 12mg nictoine blend to 3mg. Hope to be at zero soon then give it up altogether.

Life is less fun these days.

Good Work!!!!

Dude!!! That's quite an accomplishment!!!!!!!!

Probably would have been further along but dropped 5 pounds in Q1. Then slacked off in Q2 but am back at it in Q3. And I also think I have probably replaced a lot of fat with a little bit of muscle so that is why the weight number hasn't dropped more but I look slimmer and feel a lot less porky.

Good commitment!

This week, its just the diet. So far, I've lost 10 pounds. Next week, I start the treadmill....
