Can you hear the "hollow" in an electric guitar?

I sold my Gibson 335 from the year 1965. I never played it and it was bought from the same guy I bought my 1969 Les Paul from. I bought a Jay Turser 133k or as we know a Chinese 335 that did not need much work at all. The Happy Red guitar and of late I came across a BB King 355. I have to understand the 355 with the crazy dail and no F holes. All that means no feed back. I did not even notice the missing F holes till my son was playing it right in front of the amp. That damn Hubble takes shaky photos.
