I mean dont get me wrong Tony M ---MY daily DRIVER is one of these
17-Forte-Silky-Silver_O.jpg

ALSO made by Hyundai ---my 3rd "Hyundai"-- in a little over 2 decades---
they dont suck ---- Im just saying S5 isnt getting the FOOL use outta one

I also have a Motorcycle with over 30 k and my wifes truck (Dodge Dakota) with 120,000 ----the Kia has 32,000 on it (its an August 2017 buy) --- as you can see --- I put MILES on them

224,000 miles on the Mustang's 4.6 with nothing g more than valve cover gaskets and a water pump...

Doesnt give much time to speak to TRUE RELIABILITY however now does it?

Four to five years gives plenty of time to see the faults of vehicles, the last 10 new vehicles I purchased from Chrysler, Ford , GM all gave problems . From oil leaks , brake problems, overheating, wiper motors failing. Engine blowing up at 50,000 miles, transmission leaks, One slipping timing belt at 25,000 miles, paint issues just to name a few. I will never ever buy any Domestic vehicle from the big so called 3 ever ever again. My buddies used to tell me to buy Foreign, I wished I had listened to them sooner, I went through 10 vehicles before I saw the light, now its Hyundai all the way for me.

no argument here--- like I said this KIA (owned by Hyundai and has a Hyundai ENGINE and drive train) is my 3rd -- Ive also had 2 nissans (one stellar the other complete CRAP) 2 toyotas (1 so good someone STOLE IT) Mistubishi -- Acura --several Chevy-- Mercury-- Dodge -- Fords -- 2 ISUZU Troopers that went WELL OVER 200k--- and an ISUZU Ascender with an in line 6 that could pull a TANK (litterly) ---20 plus motorcycles spanning most ALL major brands and some "obscure" ones---

Im no stranger to PETROL "GAS" either -----

Ive had Nissan blow an engine--- had one of the ISUZUS throw a TRANNY fit of EPI proportion--but for the most part I agree the foreign ones SEEM better -- but you can get a bad one in any Moniker--

I like Consumer reports, I get the magazine and check out the cars, vans, SUVs, Trucks. They are very accurate in their findings. You should check out the new 2019s and see the reliability rates for GM vehicles for the last 2 yrs and see what predictions for 2019, then check Ford and Chrysler, I can tell you the Models to stay away from and its not pretty.

I drive a 2011 CRV.
I change the oil and wiper blades once in a while.
It just passed inspection.
again
The guy said when I come back next year the front brake pads may need changing.

A friend of mine has an old Toyota Sienna.
He had them replace the timing belt at 125,000 miles.
It's on its way back from the moon as far as mileage goes.

last year some friends and myself were talking cars. At the time she owned a Ford Focus, can't remember for sure but think it was 2015, she was having transmission troubles and other issues. I said oh sorry to hear you are having these issues with your car. She said yes I need to get rid of this thing and get a new one. I said in Consumers report that Focus has a very sad report, I have the magazine, it explains the problems that are notorious for those. An hour later they came over asked if they could borrow the magazine, I said certainly look it over take your time. When they came back to return the book, they were amazed that the problems that she had with her car were all listed there in the book. So they ventured out in search of a new vehicle. She wanted a small Suv so after checking them out and in her price range bought a 2018 Nissan Rogue, which have a good track record for that year. Her Husband was surprised at how many GM, Ford, Chrysler and many top end vehicles with very poor reliability problems. They thanked me for informing them, and have now decided to get Consumers report when making future purchases.

This one is mine
A 2006 Tacoma prerunner two hundred and eighty six thousand miles, I put 50,000 miles a year on my truck, oil changes, tires, and brakes! I will never buy anything else again
