I wonder if there will be a run on the major online tube sites like Tube Depot and Tube Store.

Not really because musicians by and large hate buying tubes.
They keep using the old tubes until smoke comes out.
But repair shops and music stores do need to buy new tubes.

I predict the retailers will jack the prices up on the remaining Russia inventory until it's gone.
I would buy Svetlana remaining inventory no problem.
No doubt there are some really good Soviet manufactures that make outstanding tubes...

Also Mig fighter jet uses tubes, and so they will keep making them as long as the demand exists.

I couldn't care about the price of tubes or being able to get them. I don't use them. But one thing for sure the price of fuel will be going up. And not wanting this to get political just making a statement. I am mostly concerned about the Ukraine People.

Oh, they'll still be manufacturing them in russia, no question about that, AMS. Question is, will they be able to make their way to this side of the pond?

And if so, will they then make Dumbles sound like radio shack's walkie-talkies and Gibbys and Fendies sound like dollar-store ukeleles? To quote the late Mike Hutchence: "Makes you wonder (wonder, wonder)"...

We have several local distillers who make fantastic vodka. Deacon Giles (Salem) and Beauport (Gloucester) being two of them. Other than them, my wife prefers Pau which is made in Maui. I prefer Tequila or Gin when I drink hard liquor. Hopefully we'll stay friends with Mexico and England, and Germany for my favorite Gin (Monkey 47). Actually Deacon Giles makes fantastic Gin, as does St. Georges in San Francisco.

Back to the tubes. For now we'll still have chinese tubes and slowakian (JJ) and some old NOS stock even of russian type in the other east european countries. But prices will probably rise a lot.
