Some of the best buskers I saw were in the London Underground. Some incredible guitarists, but a couple of out of this world Saxophone players. The coolest was a guy at Baker St Station who played " Baker Street" by Gerry Rafferty on the sax.
Saw a wicked guitar player on the street a couple nights in Virginia Beach back in 2016. I was leaning over the balcony, watching this long haired kid carrying a lil Crate combo and an Ibanez. He just parked himself beside this pancake house on the main boulevard and plugged into an outlet and shredded for a few hours. VB City has a no buskers policy and instead hires bands and performers nightly throughout the main drag that you can't tip. So he was breaking the rules but that made me like him even more lol

See now that's what I'm talking about lol that guy is just going for it, screw the passerbys if they can't stand the sonic bombast!

I remember when this woman used to busk around Cambridge.
Mary used to always busk on the subway, or in Cambridge and Salem. Every now and then, she and her daughter will show up in Salem playing some tunes.
There was a busker in Harvard Square in the late eighties by the name of Kenny Halliday who was awesome. He played a Dobro, and knew every Devil blues song of the 1920s, and then some. Me and my ex would often go there on a Saturday night with a bunch of Shots of Jaeger, and drink with him while he played. I know I have some photos somewhere. One night, the bible thumpers near the subway entrance noticed that he had a bigger crowd than them, so they came across the street. He picked out the leader, and started singing Devil songs in his ear, as the audience started heckling the bible thumpers. Eventually, Cambridge's finest escorted the bible thumpers away for disturbing the peace. Everyone else carried on enjoying some nice music. Now, I need to see if I can find some of the photos of him.
