I still think it would look cool blue with the black burns, black pick guard and a rosewood fretboard.
High silica content. You will want to use carbide tips blades and bits. Also Wood DB said it was porous.I will have to look up but thought just occured tome, I wonder if Okume has a natural oil in it? That would have not conducted well.

They accidentally burned down their new shed?Speaking of burning, my nieghbor about 300 yards away was doing some illegal burning and it got out of hane and burned a brand new out building they had put up not too long ago. Saw the black smoke from the front window as we sat down to eat and heard sirens shortly after that.

We need bigger images.Got some progress done, things move slow as you need to build up low spots but not make too much of a mess with the epoxy. The front is now pretty dang flat. Got it sanded to 800 grit, so it's pretty smooth. Some more sanding to do on the sides and back but that will be another day. Just threw a copper colored guard I had in the cabinet on it for a pic. Maybe next weekend I will start hitting it with some clear.
No it actually has been raining off and on and humid, thank god. But burn season is over.Well don't burn things when it is verboten. Had it been dry there?

Super cool concept, science-y goodness!
Its good fun and I get to make some one of a kind things. My kid is an electrician and he wanted to start doing this. He built the rig, and it looks DIY but be did it right. He has a Variac and a dead man switch for the just in case stuff. I see now after watching the vid again we need a rubber mat under the bodies, next time. Thanks for havin a lookSuper cool concept, science-y goodness!
