I flipped from the Hiwatt thread to start this one. It is the newest and hopefully the last take on this poor chassis. It is becoming a single Channel Fender Super AB763. Here are the most recent pics, still waiting on filter caps to get here:

Yes it is so. After I prove this amp out, and play the other two that I think I am going to keep, to make sure I don't need to make any changes on them, I'm done.

I'm going to sell off all of my parts, bins, and tubes that I wont need. If I decide to build an amp sometime off in the future I'll source all the parts at that time.

I am going to play around with building some stomp boxes, as I have about 100 old germanium transistor pulls, and a bunch of stuff gathered up to play with those.

Yeah, the diodes are there in case of rectifier failure. Supposedly during rectifier failure there is a good chance of a half cycle of AC volts hitting the filter caps (charging in reverse) which as they die take out the PT. The .01 3KV capacitor is supposed to absorb voltage spikes that can take out the protection 1N4007 diodes.

Ok ripped this amp apart and it will now become a Marshall JTM45 clone. I have the disassembly finished, the reconfig almost done and a reworked turretboard completed. Almost ready to drop it in. I had Matt at MPS wind me a custom OT for the build, more on that later. Here is the turretboard from used parts.
