Building 112 Cab - Speaker Suggestions?

I want to put together a 112 cab to go along with the new mini me Marshall DSL1HR. I currently have a 212 pine cab with Greenbacks, a 412 pine cab with Greenbacks, a Marshall 1960b with half Greenbacks and half Vintage 30's and a Crate Blue Voodoo 412 with G12T-75's.

I want to try something different. Maybe an Eminence product? I don't know anything about them, but have been looking at the Private Jack, The Governor, Cannabis Rex, Man O War and Texas Heat. I can get all of these for $90-$100 shipped. What say you? I can always go with a G12H-30 if the Eminence is a bad idea.
 
I've always enjoyed Eminence, but I haven't played through them all. Cannabis Rex from a borrowed cab and I have a whole slew of Texas Heats. Check out Webber ToneCVLT line as well. I'm working on getting a few of those for my next cab tweak. I'm also an avid user of WGS speakers.

I'm picking up a 2x12 cabinet today for the two new WGS speakers my wife got me for Xmas.

These are easily the best high-gain speakers I have ever used but also clean up nicely (I assume gain because, well, Marshall). I know they are both made by Celestion and you are looking for something different, but neither of these sound like other Celestion products - even the Mesa version of the V30 is way different than the Celestion-branded version.

Scumback Speakers fan here! Owner, Jim Seavall, is a pleasure to deal with. Check out his website and send him an inquiry on what your looking for. His products are on the pricier side but you get what you pay for, and it includes a 24-hour speaker break in massage.

In the last few years, I have seemed to have gravitated towards the (Celestion) G1265M-style of speaker. The Scumback M75-LD is Jim's version of the G1265M with a tiny bit more low end response.

The regular Celestion V30 is built in China. But the Mesa/Celestions are built in England... Correct?
 
have the Mesa, Marshall & China v30. All such weapons of tone

Mesa v30's seem to tame Marshall ice pick in a good way..knock a hair of the natural edge off..probably a have a slightly deeper voicing in comparison

the China.. use on all modern type stuff..most of my summer Marshall recordings where DSL's into them...v30 kicked it forward vs greenbacks

marshall vintage is a sweet speaker. My go to pairing for rock seems to be mic on it & first run t75..very balanced recording set up..no weakness..30 fills that t75 mids but that version 75 isnt as brash as newer..much more old school mids

The mesa v30's in the F100 are awesome with the semi open back..still retains palm mute tight but very filling in the room

30's can get at ya in the room on their own & even beam in a mixed cab but in the mix absolutely sits right..almost a natural choice to put right over something without much EQ changing.

It is s cool to hear the amps on the dif cabs..that greenback pine ya have ought to be nice. The box becoming part of it all like the fenders,,that resonance adding some warmth.
 
Yeah, I love my two pine cabs. I got them from TRM Guitar Cabs. Tim has a couple of different 112s that I can get unfinished for under $230 with shipping. My 212 has a convertible back and it is very lively.

Correct. Randy Smith got them to continue making his version in the UK, said he would stop buying them if production went to China. C-90 is also made in the UK - it's my favorite speaker of all-time, does absolutely everything well. It's Mesa's slightly tweaked version of a G12M-80 and there is a reason it's the stock speaker in Mark 5 combos.
 
Ive always been a sucker for the G12T-75 and the G12K-100 is a wickedly responsive speaker. Both give a great mix of treble, mid, bass, the 100 is more beefed up

C90's are fantastic. great at any level but as the volume comes up !! Oh yeah !! goodness abounds
