Wasn't too bad on the one I had, but still a bit on the wide sideThat is neat. How is it for string spacing?
Someone mentioned the pain of 12-string saddles, and the fact that they won't intonate. I've been thinking about that and I'm having some of these made for me. I reckon they might just be a useful replacement in a tunematic bridge.

Different string height for the thinner octave strings? ? ?
Yep, that and other refinements will come if I find that the basic idea works. It may prove to be a dud, but there's only one way I'm going to find out. The lightning bar on my PRS intonates perfectly, so that encourages me to think that provided I get the spacings right, this may be viable.
Yep. My theory is that the length ratio can be made near enough right this way, so one adjustment will do bass and octave. We'll seeYou still only have 6 adjustments not 12?
The Danelectro posted looks to have 6 with another 6 sub adjusters?
Isn't that clear? Thin and thick strings need to be a different length to intonate
I now see the point, one string closer to the nut than the other.
What I was incorrectly seeing (in my late evening red wine enhanced viewing of drawing) was a "V" between the two strings (shaded red).
