I've had this happen to a couple Gibsons I've owned.
I had it happen with ABR-1 bridges. I only have two guitars with Nashville bridges and one out of the two needs to be replaced.

"where's that confounded bridge?"
I will keep an eye out for this.
Is this another in the Pro column to top wrap?

I've had this happen to a couple Gibsons I've owned.
I top-wrapped for a while and it worked OK, but eventually I returned to raising the tailpiece and stringing through it because I switched from 10's back to 9's. I think decking the tailpiece is overrated and doesn't do anything but put unnecessary pressure on the bridge, like Sysco says. Looks cool, but doesn't help tone.
I'm a new convert to top wrapping. Really gives me a slinking feel which helps with soloing.
