'Brand New Day"..recorded the SVT with mic

Now if my sons were into heavy metal, I may know of a a few more of the bands that had come out in the last 10 years, but they were more punk, ska, and folk, not my cup of tea. And I didn’t go to any of the Ozzfests when they were taking place not to far from where I live, spending the afternoon in a sun baked 100+ degrees in the dirt was not something I wanted to do after working 56 hours a week.
Cheers

Ozzfests were quite hellish to be honest lol i did two of them and 2 of the spiritual sequels: Mayhemfest. Like you said: hot as hell, dirty and pretty rough place in general.

Did get to see Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Black Label Society as headliners though in 05!

No I didn’t, I quit going to the larger rock shows, in 84 I believe it was called the summer strut, at Angel stadium with my wife, Maiden, Scorps, Toto, and another band I can’t recall, it was a piss poor show, but that was the number of the beast tour for Maiden, and the first time I saw Bruce as the frontman for Maiden.
When we were leaving the crowd above us was throwing there drinks down on us.
And it was not very enjoyable.
Next Saturday night I am going to see DOD’s band here locally in Yucaipa, the last show I was at was my grandson’s band at a local club in Anaheim, prior to that it was my son Jerry’s band here in Riverside..

That was the last festival i saw: Mayhemfest 2010 and it sucked ass. Headliners were Korn, Rob Zombie, Lamb of God and Five Finger Death Punch. I didnt mind Rob Zombie but it wasnt a good show, Lamb of God did good but the rest were pretty awful live. Smaller bands thru the day were largely forgettable except maybe 3 Inches of Blood and Shadows Fall.

It was just a headache really. Hot and smelled bad. Lots of pissed off people looking for a fight. Brother in law brought his bitch of a girlfriend and we argued for 3hrs on the drive up, especially when she began trashing Iron Maiden lol

Then when we left, it was after midnight and i fell asleep while my wife was driving home. She ended up getting lost and drove us into Ohio, about 90mins off course in the wrong direction and i woke up in the wrong state lol ended up taking close to 6hrs to get home when it shouldve been 3, by the time we drove back to where we began. Utimately had to stop in a late night diner to try to eat and wake up. Me and Meg had to keep stopping every 40mins change drivers cause we were falling asleep. 3 other people in the van and no one else would take shifts driving, all slept thru it, lazy pricks lmao

I know just how you feel, my son Jerry bought me tickets for one of the Ozzfest shows, and I sold them to his buddy Kevin, they were for a Father’s Day gift lol
And I wanted nothing to do with them ha ha, it would have been miserable for me , no beer , no water, no cool place to get out of the way of nutcases , so not for me, not counting the one way in traffic, one way out !!
Cheers

Never heard of them. The drummer is kick ass. Not a fan of the vocals though. I like the rest of it.
Same, I am not keen on vocals either but i like the music.

Do you like this?

Your papa Het has slow songs, that will melt your mind.
And he got a lot of that from Iommi, I am not much of a beetles fan or stones, but they all have there place my friend.
I know he dose but I don’t listen to them lol like you said they all have its place… I do like some sabbath stuff, hole in the sky, paranoid, headless cross, and there are few more… they are good but I enjoy modern day thrash….

All I said, I asked @BFT Gibson if he could make a thrash song and @Clockworkmike start giving me history lesson… when dinosaurs roamed the earth there was this music, it was in its primitive form and evolved to thrash you like now bla bla bla… like history teacher at school :rolf::rolf::rolf:

nothing personal bro its just business:)

That’s fine I have been defending my favorite music my whole life, and I am not going to back down now, history lesson or not, just the way it is.
And I don’t walk around with my head down, always up and proud of ,what I believe in, as I carry myself through this life !!
Cheers to business
