Hahaha thank you and absolutely! " Hey you remember that birthday where elephants came charging thru the kitchen with hunting knives in clenched in their teeth and the walls melted into ice cream? What was in that cake?"I have made and decorated several cakes for family members over the years, and I salute your effort. decorating with icing is harder than most think!
Making and layering a couple of cakes is not all that hard, but when you can pull off a recognizable theme, that's just uh..... the icing on the cake? LOL!
As long as you didn't fill that cake with microdots, - that' would make for a memorable birthday celebration
Lol 10 years of marriage has become a war of attrition. I find now the "broken man" approach of just admitting my crushing defeats fairs wellMike, your brave man .............................. because frankly --- I would have BLAMED IT ON THE KIDS ..... (and bought them off with hush $ and video games)
but hey ---- you went a different route ..... well done![]()
Looks good to me bruva.I tried my best on this but im certainly neither
A) a decent baker by any stretch
B) a skilled artist
Initially, it was to have this cool tie dye icing since she likes hippie( yeah, a hard rock/metal guy married a partial hippie, figure that one out huh?) But the nice Pintrest photos and Youtube videos could not possibly translate to my banana hands and it just looked like Pennzoil ( theres remnants of its halo around the cake). So, plan B, i covered it up with frosting and tried to draw a Grateful Dead Bear. My 6 ( nearly 7) and 4 year olds could've probably did a better job but $!#% it: best I could do lmao

I can most recently and definitely relate to this wise wisdom of "Sir" Jack Sparrow...
