Boss RC-3 Loop Station is the bomb

I don't know why I waited so long to try a looper. Well actually I do know why. I'm a cheap SOB and they are expensive. A couple of days ago I was having my morning coffee checking Craig's List. Someone in my town was selling an RC-3 for $50. Two hours later I was playing with it. I thought it would be complicated and hard to use but in reality it is very easy. I skimmed the manual and was creating loops in about five minutes. I love this thing. Only downside is it does add some noise to the signal chain. I'm using it with a cheap power supply that is daisy chained to my other pedals. I'll have to try it with a battery. Other than that this thing rocks!

I traded my RC-1 for the RC-3. I love the 99 memories and 3 hours of storage time for phrases. I have saved about 7-8 backing tracks that I built with the DigiTech Trio and saves to the RC-3 for practicing.

I really like that I can play part of a song, say the verse, then just repeat it over and over while I try different leads to see what works and what doesn’t. If you try and do that to a YouTube video or MP3 you have do the whole song or keep stopping and starting. I can play the rythmn for just the bars that need a solo and work out the solo while it plays over and over. The built in simple drum beats are helpful as well.

I am having trouble with daisy chains at the moment. I have a power supply with five isolated 350mA 9V outlets, but the problem is that I have eleven pedals on that board, so I end up using daisy chains. But a damaged single cable can also cause problems
