Boss MS-3: any experiences?

I am considering simplifying my pedalboard with a Boss MS-3, which would basically provide a switcher plus multieffects with three loops, using Loop 1 for my chorus and boost pedal, Loop 2 for the amp effects return and send, and Loop 3 for my MXR Carbon Copy.

It would also allow me to eliminate most of my other pedals, such as the noise suppressor, volume pedal, and the Boss MO-2 (which is one of the effects - 'OVERTONE' - in the unit).

Anyone got experience (good or bad) with this unit?

if i used effects , would use this more..insane with computer hooked up to it, every sound known to man is tweak able so precise.., I ran it 4 cable method cause i use my amps gain & not pedals pretty much. def a 5 star product,,the effects are just like my boss pedals & then some cause of more ways to set the pedal parametersms1.jpg

I just ordered an MS-3 from interstate via the internet. One of the last ones in stock in Australia, apparently Roland Australia is awaiting new stock. Given the nosedive the Australian dollar has taken since new year I expect the next batch to be roughly $300 more and we'd probably have to wait until May at least with all the crap going on with customs and the postal system.

Hopefully I remain in good health to enjoy it, but if not then I guess who cares? At least it will give me something to work on while the band is on hiatus from jamming etc. I will probably modify my pedalboard to have a proper patch bay built into it, rather than the patchbox (which failed when we were in the studio). A row of stereo Neutrik style sockets along where the smaller power supply now is. With this simplified board I should only need the Fuel Tank Chameleon and will able to sell the Fuel Tank Jr. I will also be able to sell the LS-2, the MO-2, the volume pedals, the ring mod, and a heap of others. All I will need are the MC401 boost/linedriver, Carbon Copy, and Black Label Chorus plus a FS-6 or FS-7 and an EV-30. I'm going to convert the 7-pin DIN cable for the footswich to a TRS somehow with an adapter so that I can change channels with the MS-3 inside the patches.
