Look how behind the times I am. This is what I think of when I think of BMW bikes.

I had a BMW F650

single cyclinder :"thumper" was a great light trail banger-- was O.K. around town ---- was WAY to damn lught for long highway touring --- was a dog 2 up ----(well it was a DOG with just 1 fat American on it ) -- but to be fair to the F650-- I owned a Zuki Katana and a Triumph SPEED 3 at the same time ---
but --- it was a WELL MADE -- very high quality -- the ROTAX motor was BULLETPROOF -- it was a breeze to work on and was affordable to buy--
As a fun git around or an off road cow trail explorer I would/have and will always RECOMMEND the BMW F650 line I had zero mechanical issues while flogging the poor little thing --- and THAT is saying something

I still like motorcycles Adrian and still hold my license, but I like to stay with 4 wheels these days. I have to tell you I really like the gold silver colour..
