blink and LRT after nearly a year

My experience is that you don't want too much gain. Most of my amp settings during my recording is actually pretty clean active pickups give the gain a bit of a kick and quad tracking it makes it sound huge without muddying it up. (but like you i stick with high-gain amps ;) )
On my amp i have gain 1 o’clock then boost it with mxr gr-od triple track hard left/right and centre sounds good. If you heard any of my songs thats the sound.
There is this guy dose mods and planing having his amp line, if does i want one :)

Go check out Monomyth amps if youre after a modded Marshall, specifically 2203s. There aint a thing out there that can match them in gain. Its a monster

You guys have heard and know my tone preferences, I feel that I am a mutt just like Mike.
I was just never a large speed metal fan , I like to slow it down a bit and let the lightning hit , and the thunder roar, and I only get that through my Marshall’s !!
Cheers
Nothing wrong with that, I lean towards mid tempo myself. But I like being able to mix it up so things don’t get stale :)

My gain on my recordings sit around the 8’o clock range, and i might crank it up a bit on leads if I really need to cut through.

It will be petrol type chainsaw not like electric weak one ahahah.

I dont man just had an idea after talking about high gain recording tracking :)

Mike can have his clean jazzy intro if he wants :)
That’s an idea... start off with a minute-minute and a half jazzy intro, then hit people with the high gain metal, I’m thinking that our two different lead styles would actually complement the other’s really well.

Excellent advice, my weak attempts don’t seem to work so well, but because of this discussion I am going to go through all of my faster progressions this evening.
Cheers

@Mitch Pearrow SJMP Put metronome on your phone set it to speed where you can play fast, put your head down and go at it :) thats how i do it. :)

@Clockworkmike i had vivid pic in my head black cat with green eyes walking on piano, then falling off and while in the air saying meaowwwww and blobs down the floor.
