SG John
Ambassador of Cool Guitars and Amps.
In the past year, I've been in contact for the first time in years with my old bass player, roommate, and general cohort Dan. Now that his kids are grown, he wants to start archiving a lot of his old musical projects. We've also discussed a re-release of one of our CDs, and maybe a few reunion shows.
Two days ago, he sent me a link to a gig at the local dive (O'Brien's) around the corner from the practice space we had in Allston "Rawk City", MA. Even though it's small, it is the fun place to play loud rock and roll. You'd never see an acoustic show there. Roadsaw, Slughog, Scissorfight, and many other bands were regulars there. Awakening Stick was a band that we started together around '96 when we were sharing an apartment together in the Boston area.
Haven't been able to nail the date of the show yet, but it was sometime late 2004 to mid 2005. I know it wasn't near X-mess, or we would have done the cover of the Cheetah's "Message to Santa Claus."
There are some warts here and there, so crack open a brew and enjoy.
