BillBoard Names Best Rock Band Of 21st Century

Speaking of "Best List." Since I am a Neil Young fanboy, thought I should check it out to see how my best matched up with their best. As expected.... didn't agree with some of them. Some I don't believe I've ever heard. Others are pretty close. If you're interested, check it out.

Neil Young’s 50 Greatest Songs Ranked

When i was a youngster me and a friend got tickets to see one of the most poppular bands there was at the time. Was a outdoor concert at Delta Park in Portland Oregon. BTO was the headliners and this band nobody ever heard of yet in our neck of the woods was this band called Aerosmith. Rest is history.this was when Dream On first came out. Both bands rocked that place.

BTO would have been awesome. Never really got into Aerosmith beyond what was played on the radio.

Tea Party another Canadian Band, they had some tunes i like. And of course The Tragically Hip. So many good bands out there for sure.

I quit paying attention to these faux “Best Lists” when someone like Rolling Stone did an all time best guitarist list and Hendrix wasn’t even in the Top 5.
Rolling Stone magazine is a Joke. Not a real music magazine. Billboard is also irrelevant to me. I listen and watch what I like, not what other people like or tell me what I should like. It would be hard to pick the best all-time guitarists. Would it be based on fretboard knowledge, fingering ability, popularity, ingenuity, sales amount in money? Too many excellent guitarists.

I never really listened to Nickelback.
Not that I hate them, I just never paid attention.
I listen to KPYG radio, and they never play corporate anything.... (They play "Snake Farm!")

This reminds me of Pink Floyd.
When I was a kid, nobody would play Pink Floyd on the radio. No station would touch it.
But at the very same time, "Dark Side of the Moon" was out-selling the Beatles....with zero air play.
(explain that one) and became one of the highest sellers of all time.

But then many years later.....Pink Floyd becomes one of the most played, on all the radio stations.
Played sooooo much that I just got sick of it.
(overplayed, played to death, like "Rumors.")

I still like Dark Side of the Moon, which is one of my favorite albums.
What the hell is wrong with Bill Board?

When Dark Side of The Moon was released, my hometown radio station in Atlanta played "Money" repeatedly on daily basis. Everyone I know bought the album, 8-track or cassette. I had all 3. Later on, it was released on cd and that was an upgraded listening experience of this album. I still listen to and enjoy it.
