Best way to post pictures in forums

I've been using dropbox but it looks like they have once again changed the way it works and my pictures are no longer showing up. This is the second time dropbox has done this. It is annoying. When I try to drag and drop into a message instead of using a hosted picture I have to reduce the size of the picture which is a pain. Is there a good free or even cheap hosting site that I can use?

I'm sorry Kerry the software for this forum only allows a certain maximum amount file size for attachments. I already have it set to the most it will accept. I know hosting companies for pictures of really been kind of cheesy lately but there's not much I can do about that you are looking for.

It's not really a forum problem. Most forums are like this. Just wondering what other people are doing. I can resize the pictures if need be but I'm lazy and looking for an easier way :)

Imgur is another webhost. However, there is a risk with using Imgur. Whereas they do allow you to use them as an image host for forums, they do not allow you to link to them from a forum that has a classifieds section. If they discover it, not only will they block you, they will block the entire forum domain. What this means is that the entire TTR website would be blocked from accessing images hosted on Imgur...which would affect everyone else's images on the forum that were linked back to Imgur.

Honestly, it really isn't that big a deal to resize images in paint.net or even MS Paint, as long as you have the "Maintain Aspect Ratio" option selected, all you have to do is change one dimension and the other is automatically resized. In paint.net, I only select the percentage. I generally resize all photos I take to be 20% of their original size before uploading. It literally only takes seconds. I don't specifically change any dimensions, I just indicate that I want the new image to be 20% (or something else, if I want) of the original and I can either save the image with the new size or save it as a new image. Then I upload it to my album here.

It is easy on a PC or a Mac but I'm usually on my iPad and the pictures are already on Dropbox. On a PC I use Irfanview and Preview on the Mac.

IMG_3121.JPG IMG_4863.JPG I just take mine right off the camera roll on my iPad. Here is a nice picture of a lady sitting at the bus stop up the street. That must be her cat? Clear as a bell.

Those are moments rarely ever caught in a snapshot. The details are stunning and powerful. Worthy of a Nobel Peace Prize.

Hell... the lady looks like she ain't wearing any bottoms. Probably left some Moon-chesee on that bench, too. Is there a pic of that?

... :gotta-love:
