I had a Peavey TransFex 208s for a while many years ago.
I must have liked it at the time, but I can't remember why.
I think it was supposed to be like a stereo Bandit, but with a load of programmable digital effects onboard.
Not on the WGS list though!
Also can anyone explain what TransTube Technology was all about?

No joke on the old Peaveys. I've always felt the silver aluminum trim ones were the most "real" sounding but they were all good up until at least the late '90's. I had a Bandit in high school and modded it to use an external cab with (big blue Kustom!) and it was killer. I guy I know what owns a shop keeps an old Pacer from around 1980 there next some some very high-end esoteric amps and its the one he uses to test guitars out on. Sounds flippin amazing.

then you have PRE and POST gain---
truly the GAIN options are unrivaled in amp-landia I do believe

and result in a super good super tight MEGA CHUG metal tone at -----wait for it---- NORMAL HOME VOLUME LEVELS --- if you twiddle with the knobs ---
if you crank everything to 10 and hit an A chord well............it sounds like "A"ss

I had a Peavey Valveking 100 watt head. I bought it in need of some TLC, I think I paid $70 for it. All it needed was cleaning of the reverb connector plug and it was good to go. Nice amp, especially for $70.

I'm seriously considering getting a Valveking 112 or a Classic 30 after payday... Seriously hard to decide which. The Valveking is a bit cheaper though.
