Best buy stinks

Me to S5, but this Nasty Pony has over 800 RWHP and I have found out it is the fastest and most HP Beast that they have put out to date...It is not available with a manual tranny and as the saying goes, there is no one that can outshift n auto tranny on a drag strip...
There has been claims, but all throughout my NHRA career I haven’t found one yet...
It also has a speed limiter set to around 180mph......With a rear gear of around 3:70...

I say let a hillbilly get ahold of this Nasty Beast along with the 2020 Corvette and those fancy a$$ foreign jobs that cost tons more are gunna shake in their boots when good ole American Muscle hits the pavement..

Power to AMERICAN MUSCLE....:wrench:

1/4 mile out of the box...10:61 @ about 133....

Cross plane crank ...Supercharged..

And thats before a Hillbilly gets hold of it:pound-hand:

Faster tha McLaren F1 from 0-100 and back down to 0....:pound-hand::pound-hand::pound-hand:

That's it? Trident. About 15 years ago, I got my 91 LX 5.0 that is stock as it comes minus an electric radiator fan. Prior to that a friend had an 80's 5,0 Manual shift that he drag raced with. Back when I used to go with him, he was doing about 12 second 1/4's. I called him to tell him of my '91 and asked about his car. He told me he had it apart for work. I asked about what that meant and all he had been up to. He told me he swapped in a Boss 302 and a C4 trans and had bumped up his speed and lowered his 1/4. So I had to ask. His answer was in the 9's at 140+ if I remember right.

So for BIG money new 2020 Mustangs and other brands are only in the 10's stock with all the latest fancy technology and associated costs?

Yes..
I actually had a SE Boss 302 and it would get eaten alive by this one...With just a little work on the Boss it would keep up with this new one..But for out of the box, its not half bad..

Boss 302 came stock with 290 hp and 15 sec drag time..

I am sure my buddy had it built up from stock, as he had to have sourced it from somewhere. Heck his stock 5.0 and Manual trans must have had some massaging to get it down in the 12's

95 mph Drag time and without a speed governor top speed of the Boss was only 133

Trident, when it comes to drag racing or speed records, I am still in awe of one Burt Munro from New Zealand and his Indian Scout with nothing but his own experiments to get it fast as possible on Bonneville Salt Flats
