I guess that if I ruled out an amplifier by just having an acoustic guitar, my first choice would be a slide. Probably my favorite effect of all time. It would be indispensable if this was my only guitar.

Been thinking on this on and off today. Other than my Ovation acoustic I bought new in 1974.... I can't think of one piece of gear or tool I couldn't live without.

Although.... I do need a way to play music. Be it a radio, CD player.... Norms MP3 player.... even my phone.

If only I could make a dollar playing guitar, but instead it's this thing!

When I made a solo 7 hr. road trip to shell out $1,200 for this thing used (a 1980s model), then drove another 7 hours home same day my wife thought I was frickin' insane. Turned out to be the second best investment I ever made. Top smartest $$$ spend? A bit more... engagement ring!
