Behringer X-32 Rack

I recently got an X-32 rack mount so my better half and sound person for my solo, duet and band shows can use the tablet capability on this puppy.

I have a Euro 1000, 3000 & 6000 boards and am very comfortable with them. This X-32 is a monster! we have been working with it for about 2 months now (off & on) and I am still a little concerned about take this bad boy to a show. Short of taking lessons... we are trying to get as much input as possible but there still seems to be SO much more to learn.

A good friend has a board version and one of his sound people has shown us some of what it will do and I am amazed! Anyone have this beast or know of good outlets on line to learn? Thanks in advance.

I wish I could give you more feedback than...we did a charity benefit show during the summer, with three other bands...the sound was provided by someone wielding an X-32 rack mount...all went really well. Even with band equipment malfunctions(not my band thankfully), he overcame, and provided a solid soundstage. There was much joy...and it looked like not much effort was exerted.

I have been shown the possibilities... but not how to get them. I played a gig at one of our local hang outs and the X-32 board there did things to sound I had never heard. I know soft and loud... fat and thin sounds, but the X-32 went way beyond that.......

Looks like you got some homework to do Six.......and a very well rounded weapon in your arsenal!

An update on the X32........ I tried several of the vids mentioned but I think I knew so little about it that they really didn't make much sense. And being impatient didn't help.

But now we have been able to work with it and have had some excellent help with a few of our local people that really know the beast... I think we can look at them again. The biggest factor I am seeing is how the sound can be manipulate the sound to not just increase volume and some EQ factor, but can actually do a 360 degree fattening of the sound. And it doesn't even include the saving creations one can make with it. What helps is that a few shows we had done had the X32 (board or rack) and they had saved our setting. We are working with them now to see where and how they got what they got.

One individual I highly respect on the X32 said he had worked with the board & rack for 2 years but now is a pro on it's use. Besides any of his own 3 bands he plays in, he also supplies the house sound for a few of our local venues. Very impressed! We learn as we go and there are enough little successes that really make it worth while. We take our time and I think we will really have a handle on it come time to use it out!

Another update.... we are slowly making progress with the board, but it seems that for everything we learn there are 3 more questions that come up. We are able to control it and dial in the sound ALMOST to the point of manipulating the individual sounds. That's the important thing I want to learn. We have a show coming up 4/6 and will most likely use it for that show. (However, I am still talking the Euro 6000 as a back up...)

:fingersx:
