Beautiful Day Here

Absolutely gorgeous!

Seems like you really have it made bro.

Congratulations, I'm sure it wasn't easy, but damn well worth it!

Nice.

Thanks Steve, but like a lot of folks here, lots of hard work (stared working at 15), paying my taxes, finding a good woman and then having the greatest of fortunes to have retired and sold our last home before all this virus crap started. Whew, missed it by THAT much...

Don are you getting any snow with this front that has been coming in, I am getting more rain than normal.
And I am about 50+or - miles from you??

Mitch, we are in Lake Arrowhead just north west of the golf course. The pic above was from Tuesday, 'cause yesterday and today look like this (Adrian's gonna ask about the white sh#t). :run:

The first is looking south like the pic above and the other is looking north. So yes, we are getting some :pound-hand:

My son and I worked in Blue Jay back in 2006 and I have seen quite a bit of that up there, and I still don’t care for it !!
Sure looks pretty in pictures though.
Stay warm brother, and safe.
Cheers

Yep, takes some getting used to, but I was born and raised outside of Baltimore. I had to walk to school in the snow so it doesn't bother me. We're less than 10 minutes from Blue Jay.

That’s cool, I grew up here in La Puente City of Industry . I was born in Salt Lake City Utah, but have been here in SoCal since I was 3, the McDonald’s on the corner was a spot we would grab munchies for the ride home we were working with in walking distance from that and the bank across the street!!

That looks fantastic, Don.

But, have you considered a powerful telescope to spy on that house down in the valley? You're in a great spot for it!

We have 2 telescopes, but if you're talking about that big place on the other side of the open green field, that's the Lake Arrowhead Country Club clubhouse and that green is part of the golf course. I'm not a golfer, but we checked it out and it's a nice facility with a pool and tennis courts. Ain't cheap though.

Yeah, that's the only fast food place nearby. Haven't been there yet. Big change from living in Orange County since 1988. I do miss the Home Depot near by the old place. It is the second largest HD in the country.

The local lumber yard up there is near that restaurant on the main drag we used to get up there. The chili cheese omelet is killer by the way, we got all of our supplies from there, the thing I didn’t care for was the heavy mist/ fog days, and when all the butterflies/ moths took over ,, but a bitchen place to work in the summer..
Cheers

Rimforest lumber, I have an account there already . The fog on highway 18 coming up the hill can be killer. I’ve done it twice so far.

Nothing against golfers, but I would rather watch grass grow before going golfing. And yes I have golfed about 20 times in my life and actually was not a bad player according to my friends, but I just fined it boring chasing after a little white ball, so my friends no longer ask me which is great!
