It's great to read your weekly updates. Keep up the great work. We are all here to help support you anyway we can.
Black,
It’s really courageous and inspiring for you to post both your struggles and victories. Not many people would be that honest and vulnerable.
In addition to sharing your journey, it’s entirely possible that someone else who just stumbles across this thread online may be encouraged to confront their own battles with the same, or similar, problem.
As others have said, congratulations, and keep up the great work!
And another BIG congratulations to you, well done sir.
I was very aware of you and your ongoing winning fight when I put the "Grog" thread up yesterday. I decided we shouldn't pussyfoot around such things, different people - different problems.
Well today I believe it has been 17 weeks since I had a drop of alcohol. I made it through Christmas & New Year's without any problems. I'm feeling much better than before and getting my strength back. I just talked to someone I know the other day who had quit drinking now for 9 months. I gave him a big congratulations and I was inspired. I basically made my New Year's resolution back in September and to stay completely abstinence from alcohol for good. I just take it day by day and it gets easier as each day passes. Having support on this forum really helped. Life can be good if you want it to.

Excellent! Please do keep it going. I quit less than a year ago. I was starting to like it too much.
Hey Black, it's great to hear that you're doing well. 17 weeks is a long time. That's awesome! The longer you are without alcohol, the better you will feel. I remember how sick I was physically when I drank all the time. It was killing me. I need to remember that. Playing guitar really feeds my soul. I make time for it everyday. It's very encouraging to read your posts. Thanks for sharing!Well today I believe it has been 17 weeks since I had a drop of alcohol. I made it through Christmas & New Year's without any problems. Are you 18 or 19 now? I can't ever remember what day it is? Aaaaand, how do you feel. You have a mean hospital. Mine woulda put me in a medically induced coma. Last time I OD'd, I was gone for 8 days. . .
But, I made that up coz there's no pic. Probably guts, but I ain't seen em.
Love you, Anarchist
Buttheads won't cardio shock me coz of clot in heart.I feel much better these days texred. I almost could have gone into a coma at the hospital at the time but I was lucky. My heart rate was very high but a cardio shock helped that out.
