Who do YOU believe could make the tastiest, most impressive sandwich?

What the gell did I miss. I’m gone for the weekend and come back to the battle of the sandwiches????

Ok fine!! You asked for it.
It’s simple.
First. EVERYONE knows you can’t beat the bread made here in Joisey. Semolina bread. Just the right crunch on the outside soft on the inside. Can’t beat it. Fugetaboutit!!!
The you start with the imported prosciutto di Parma sliced thin. Genoa salami. Capicola sweet or hot (choose per taste). Then slices of freshly made mutz, and I mean freshly made at the local deli. It’s still warm and moist.
Top that off with roasted peppers, a few sun dried tomatoes… not too many you just want the taste of the tomatoes. A little extra virgin olive oil and some balsamic.
FUGETABOUTIT!!!!

If that don’t have your mouth drooling like a mastiff in heat.
Then you have the tastebuds of a rhinoceros

Alas, my full response may require a bit more time, so the full reveal must remain, for now, a mystery.

Needless to say, Mr. @LiveeviL2000 , I congratulate you on your fine first volley.

On one hand I think if it came down to actual competition @LiveeviL2000 might overthink things and reach a little too far with some exotic ingredient such as Wasabi paste or something. I think I'd trust @smitty_p too keep it simple, genuine and authentic, but maybe add an inspired surprise twist. Reserving my vote until we hear from the both of them on battle strategy

Ahh, but one must carefully evaluate these things. One must not run headlong into this, casting aside due care for The Sandwich.

The Sandwich is the finest culinary development since the last time there was a fine culinary development.
 
Gentlemen, and you other three, please note while the poll has been set for 3 days, if there is a winning margin by one bro at 24 Hours that bro will be declared victor.

I set it for 3 days in the case there may be a tie at 24 hrs.

I expect we may see extremely competitive brocephussing, along with an uncomfortable amount of dominant ape-like territorial intimidation and chest-beating behaviors.

Also, I note member @smitty_p has been low key referencing his forum mod status - Perfectly acceptable as it is an earned position on TTR.
However, we should affirm in actuality, for Bro vs Bro, this status cannot be utilized for any sort of competitive advantage.

The Battle of The Bros is strictly mano a mano on a base bro level, no matter your Assistant to the Manager position attained at your real job,
or how many Health or Hit points or the character level you've achieved in WoW.

This is real life here, bros! :bash:

Enjoying what I've seen so far. A little competition always brings out the best in us.

Okay, so the initial 24 hour period expires tonight (March 24), at 7:09 PM (EDT)?

If @LiveeviL2000 is still leading by then, the contest is over?

@smitty_p you are correct. If there is no tie at 5:09 CST via the polling after 24 hours of voting, the match will be over and done.

The loser will be cast into a pit of shame and regret, and it may darken his days for weeks to come.

No pressure!

However there is a plus side to losing this battle.
Nobody will be demanding that person to make them a sandwich.

While @LiveeviL2000 's predictable entry in the sandwich duel is a good stab, I am fully on board with the rye bread choice @smitty_p has chosen. My favourite.

But, as Nigel Tufnel once said, "Man cannot live by bread alone."

If Smitty makes the right choices here, my vote is still ripe for the plucking unless he picks wacky ingredients or decides to cut the crusts off or something.

Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, step right up to witness Smitty's Sandwich...in progress!

After a quick trip to the local grocery store and some time in the kitchen, I am ready to reveal my sandwich entry.

First, we start off with a couple slices of rye bread. The bread is buttered and lightly toasted on both sides. I also spray a little olive oil in the skillet:

Next, we heat up some deli-sliced roast beef in the skillet, just enough to brown it:

Our lightly browned roast beef placed atop one slice of bread:

Next, we further expand the meat palate by very lightly browning some salami:

Suffice it to say, we are well on our way!
