I am pleasantly surprised at the number of Door's votes. I was thinking only a few of us graybeards would really appreciate them.

I’m actually a fan, even read a biography on Morrison. But the timeline doesn’t quite match up. If it was a 64 to 72 timeline I might have seen it differently.

Same here. They (Doors) were all over the radio growing up and it already sounded dated and out of touch by the mid-'70s.. Never have understood the appeal, and on top of that Jim Morrison seems like he was a real douche.

If you ever want to find out how great a singer Ozzy was/is, just listen to someone else try to pull off his vocals.

Exactly! I've heard people slag him off about not being a good singer and yet I've never heard one person replicate his voice. He is an incredible singer and someone you recognize the second he opens his mouth

I’m sitting this one out. I don’t have a strong musical attachment to Sabbath, although I was asked to sound like them a couple of times in my career. But I LOATHE The Doors.
