Battle of the Bands 1968-1980

So far we have 28 individual bands listed as possible best band of the 1968 -1980 time period. There are a number of important rock bands who fully deserve to be in this mix (my opinion) but have not yet shown up. But this is a TTR specific contest so your votes rule. I think we should stop the list at 32 individual bands (we need 4 more). Then we will continue to add additional nominations one by one, until we have enough to fill a 16 band competition bracket.

Does anyone who has NOT chimed in yet wish to add 2 NEW unlisted groups, and nominate one already listed?

I suggest we should def consider Pink Floyd, The Rolling Stones, maybe outliers Creedence, Supertramp, Yes, Genesis, The Guess Who, Steely Dan, the Clash, Van Halen, America, CSNY, Doobies but those are just suggestions.
Think 1970's folks.

You only get ONE second or third pile-on vote. I gave jam an extra just because he's so handsome and deserves special treatment

I know that this is already a PITA. I don’t see my “second” to Rush registered on the lists that have followed.

OK people, it's a borderline crime that Black Sabbath has not gotten a third vote yet. Half the bands on this list wouldn't exist, at least not in their known form, if it wasn't for Sabbath.
No less criminal than Rush being in the same boat. I had to choose, and Rush didn’t have a second yet. It was just that simple for me. It sucked, but I felt that it had to be that way in regards to my “second”.
