Bass Strings...

Scotts bass lesson are great been watching for years.

Ive yet to break a bass string...........I mean like EVER

HE IS 100% right on the 1 string at a time .....especiallyon this NECK through Peavey USA Dyna Bass ...........I can tell you -- the string tension plays a HUGE ROLL in the neck set up ---
Peavey Dyna Unity.jpg

lowest string height and smooooothest playing of any bass I have ever owned ....but MAN is it finicky... that neck trhough construction is VERY effected by tension....humidity....weather .... A strong breeze.,........etc.

love the thing but MAN is it "touchy"

conversely its Brother the T-40 can be run over by a foogin TRUCK and not lose tune

I watched a couple of string change vids before I started and the Fender one slacked and cut all the strings at once!

love the black beauties -- have a set on my blacked out fretless jazz bass.

the PEaveys above have TAPE WOUNDS from Roto Sound....on the T-40 and D'Addario on the Dyna.....however I have since changed to round wounds on the T-40 those big buckers need punch not mellow

Set-up nicely now and plays like a beaut!
I'd forgotten how good the intonation was on this guitar (well I did fret it myself!).
I tightened the truss rod a tad and raised the action to match.
The calliper measurements are very consistent with the advertised gauges too.

Very happy bunny! :2Thumbs:
