Bass Guitar Build ideas

I am thinking about building a kit bass.
First of all , not Warmoth . Nothing wrong with them. Just not waiting 6 months if I decided to build something.
I have the Squire Precision Bass currently.
Thinking jazz but other ideas are welcome.

Where are you getting the kit?

I think I should stick to 4 strings.
Not sure on the body.
I have to look up the kit, I forgot who makes it. However depending on the vendor shapes are limited.

Either of their J bass kits looks good. It would just be a question of ash, or mahogany…and maple or rosewood.
Maybe take a closer look at their MM kit, with a humbucker, but whatever you think would achieve your goals.

I like what you are doing , however I'm afraid what I had left over wouldn't look much like a Bass. Lol
My woodworking would be limited.
