Bad Dog - Original Song:

Definitely hear the improvements. And, the more I listen to the song, the catchier it seems to be - which is a great thing that is so hard to achieve! Good job!

On my system, FWIW, the vocals are still too loud - albeit improved. When I run the volume all the way down, everything drops out at about 10% except the vocals, which remain til I'm almost at 0. Both the drums and vocals should be the very last thing we hear, and should drop out at the same time.

If it were me, I might also up the compression on the vox a bit more as well. On a tangent, the guitars feel a bit muted/held back, but that might just be in the context of the volume of the vocals.

Keep improving - it's fun to watch the progress!
 
@Iron1 - If you listen at 2:25, I speak the phrases "Times are tough...Maybe the Bad Dogs should stick together?" My voice cracks on the spoken phrase. It doesn't bother the producer, but I kinda wanted to re-track that section with a more "Bon Scott-esque" timbre.

Then I got an idea...

Remember when Guns and Roses had a touchtone phone dial in Knockin' On heaven's Door" and people broke the 'code' and started calling the number??? I came up with the idea of doing the same thing in this section...The number will be dialed and the spoken phrase would be EQ'd like a walkie-talkie...Then, in the video, the singer would pull out his cell, dial the number, speak the phrase and then kick the cellphone out into the desert.

Now, the drummer and I (it's just two of us) came up with the idea to have the number actually go to a voice mail where you would get a message and then a website to go to.

We also have a graphic artist creating us a "Bad Dog" which would be similar to the dog you would expect Vic Rattlehead to have. This Dog will be made of metal and somewhat cartoonish, but it will be the official band mascot and the drummer wants us to make a bunch of T shirts, etc., featuring the band name, unique logo and mascot.

Definitely a cool, original marketing idea. While I can't say I remember the GnR thing you mention (absolutely HATE GnR and have since before they were "famous" for a variety of reasons), the rest of it seems like a slick concept as long as you can get people's attention. When I lived out there, I'd have suggested going to KNAC and getting them onboard with the idea, but don't know if they still even exist and if they do, does anyone even listen to broadcast radio anymore?

KNAC has been gone for a long time, was the only radio station worth listening to back then.
