Bad days?

So, have you ever had a bad day concerning your guitar playing?

Last rehearsal I was too damn tense and unfocused, I couldn't play poop and even threw the pick on the floor and slapped my own face out of anger.

I hated it.
 
i Viva Sérgio ! Yes, that happens to me every time I drink and play...minus the tension. It appears that you had several things on your mind at the time. What happened before the rehearsal, of you don't mind me asking?

I cant play for poop any day but you probably had somethin on ur mind. Hope next time your chops are top notch.Good to see ya posting Sergio.

Been there.

Done that.

Will probably do it again.

Every player has had bad days. You can breathe a sigh of relief...you're a human, after all!
 
It takes me about a half an hour before I warm up on guitar. I've been playing guitar for about 30 years now but old age has crept up upon me. I need time to loosen my fingers up. I have good days and bad days. It depends on the situation.

What can I say that may help???? Each time I pick up the guitar, it is like a little piece of heaven for me. Sometimes, I just don't play well. Sometimes I just put it away and wait for the 'mojo' to return. However, my greatest 'bad days" were all because of the attitude and/or drama of other musicians. I am so happy to have left the band I was in. It was just too dramatic.

Take a deep breath, relax, think of your best guitar day...sit down, pick up your guitars and relive that moment....

You know what makes it worse? When you are playing live and having a bad guitar day then on a break someone from the audience tells you how great it sounded.
 
Yo Sergio, I'm glad that you are happy with your life now. Many of us happily married men have played the game of chasing what you wanted as a kid just to find it is no longer your dream. Love on my guitar playing friend. Love, laugh, play and enjoy!
