Considering all of the media hype prior to Ozzy's final performance this past Friday and the number of fans of Black Sabbath there is here at TTR I'm a bit surprised by the lack of discussion concerning his final performance.

Summertime heat getting to ya? Too hot to post?

I'm not a huge fan of metal but I admire Ozzy and his wife, Sharon. God bless her for all she has done to keep that man alive!

My quick synopsis.opinions:

I liked most of the show. It's a double edged sword watching Ozzy perform, I've seen him perform a few times over the years and on one hand, what a great career, and on the other hand it's like watching my grandpa wither away to nothing. Hard to watch.

I thought Lzzy did a great job.
I thought Zakk played a great show.
Jake played great.
Lamb of God ripped!
Pantera, dare I say, was quite a letdown to me
... I saw them in their heyday and this was a far cry from that.
Slayer always brings it....
The rest of the bands....meh.

Lzzy is always fantastic.
So far I haven't seen any videos. They all pop up as copyright issues and I cannot view them. I would be interested in watching some of the bands for sure. Others not so much. Also busy doing summer things

How long did the whole show last?

I’m assuming there’s going to be a highly produced video of the event?

The videos popped up on YouTube, people linked them.. then they got struck down.

Just enough time to watch them once.. then

Many of my Motörheadbanger friends were at the show and loved it. I’ve been watching bits here and there. I think I would have preferred to see Ozzy step down in his prime, or earlier than now.

It’s a shame Ronnie James Dio passed way. It would have been nice to see a Heaven and Hell set, or maybe have Ian Gillian invited. If it’s an au revoir to Black Sabbath, maybe include some of the other folks who helped keep the band alive over the years.

To be perfectly honest, I’m surprised that Sharon allowed Bill Ward to be there. Especially with how bad she has screwed him in the past. My guess is that Ozzy said he wouldn’t do it without him.
