Well, I recently returned from vacation to my wife’s beautiful home state of Maine.

I really, REALLY, love going “upta camp” to Maine!

(I gotta...I mean, I REALLY gotta...figure out a way to relocate up there!)

I’m originally from Northern Illlinois. But, somehow, I really like the East Coast.

Don’t get me wrong. I certainly do not dislike my home state. I’m just saying I like my accessibility to the Atlantic Ocean, being that I currently reside In Maryland.

Anyhoo...

Having barely played guitar for a couple of weeks I officially got back into the saddle today and played a full set.

I used the white LP Studio and she sounded great.

I’m chilling by the pool and I’m feeling okay!

I always have this weird experience when I first return from a trip where I didn't have a guitar (if we travel by car I always take one). It's kind of surreal at first because I am used to playing every day, then suddenly don't for 10 days or 2 weeks or whatever, then I get home and pick one up and I have to reorient myself a bit before I am completely comfortable again.

Funny think about your East Coast comment. I was born in D.C. and grew up in suburban MD and I don't miss a single thing about it other than the crabs. You'd think I would...I always assumed I would...but now when I go back I feel nothing. I'm no longer connected to the East Coast and it feels like someone else's life looking back. I guess CA has completely assimilated me at this point.
 
It is odd but reassuring to hear a seasoned player feels a bit off after a brief hiatus.
My "feel" and skill varies so much from day to day, but much of this I believe is from fatigue.

Always love Hamilton's bass lines on this one.
