Had a great week on the Oasis of the Seas out of Port Canaveral.

Oasis of the Seas is the larger ship. Smaller one is Brilliance of the Seas out of Tampa
Ate too much, drank a wee bit, and had an all around good time.
Went to Labadee Haiti,

With Pops & his honey, in Cozumel.

Had a great week. The ship was huge.
Didn't have time to see it all.

Had a little cocktail party in the suite for dad and his friends. Also met some nice people during some of the on board activities.

Our ride to and from Port Canaveral.

The Oasis of the Seas isn't a ship, it's a floating city!
Glad you had a great time and didn't hit any of those famous Atlantic Ocean ice burgs ;-)

Mr Google tells me ...
6,296 passengers & 2,394 crew.
Build cost, US$1.4 billion (2006)

Way too many people in one spot for this small town boy, but I have friends who cruise at least once a year, they're addicted to it.

Welcome back--- we got an INTERNATIONAL RATION NOTICE while you where gone ---seems some Gringo drank ALL THE WORLDS SUPPLY OF TEQUILA while in Mexico and now there is a shortage ---- say----Dave you wouldnt happen to know WHO that might have been do you?????

No ice burgs, just ice cubes in the cocktails, we were floating around the Caribbean.
It was indeed a floating city.
But it only seemed crowded when exiting a show.
Somehow they have it arranged with so many things to do that rarely did things seem jammed.

Having one of the larger suites and the amenities and services that went with it made for a much nicer experience for us.
All speciality dining, premium cocktail and drink package, reserved seating for shows, in room cocktails every day @ 3:30 for everyone that happened to be in the room at that time.
Private escort on & off ship upon arrival, at every port and at disembarking. No lines to wait in, ever!

The jazz club and casino would get a little rowdy later in the evening, but the speciality dining restaurants never seemed bad.
We were spoiled rotten for a week, and getting back to reality has been rough, but it's good to be back home to my gear & my doggie.

No tequila for this Gringo. I learned my lesson over 20 years ago.
Did discover a bourbon on board that I hadn't tried before. Woodford Reserve. Mmmmm, liquid candy.
Did drink my share of Red Stripe beer in Jamaca, and Dos Equis and Modelo in Cozumel though.

Nice!
Glad you enjoyed your trip.
Did you impromptu jam with any Reggae bands, mon?

I have always been fascinated with ships!

We almost acquired ownership of the U-Boat replica in the photo above last year. The only thing that stopped us was finding a berth on the West Coast.

That would be so badass, having you're own sub.
That's always been a dream of mine to go for a sub ride.
What a cool concept for a cruise ship, a luxury cruise sub.
