A 2015 Ford Mustang GT (stock production not GT350 or GT 500) finished a lap of Nürburgring Nordschleife BTG in 7 minutes and 40 seconds.

I hope they get it right at some point. GM has already moved LT block production to Mexico as Tonawanda cannot keep up with production....

Correct. It's the construction methodology of the powdered metal rod - which cost GM thousands in warranty failures on the LS. Nothing has changed the methodology and GM engineers have gone on record to advise against their continued use and have identified them as a problem. This engineering opinion is why GM replaced the now famous 6 Mile LS engine failure Corvette when Car & Driver were testing it - and all the consumer's less than 6,000 mile rod failures - were covered by GM instead of rejecting the claims.

I personally feel like GM is disenfranchising the consumer by continuing to produce an inferior parts, all the while claiming it's the next best thing to sliced bread.

That's the core of my 'beef' if you will, and nothing at all against you or the legions of Corvette fans...it's the principle that irks me.
 
I’d sure like to have a newer Vette. They’re real pretty. But at this point in my life, think I’ll just stick with the 40+ year old one I have complete with old school SBC technology that I understand and can work on.

The aluminum hood corrosion issue is well known.

I've driven the GT350 at Fontana and it displayed none of the 'fatal flaws' that this fellow describes.

The biggest problem with Mustangs is they attract wannabe race drivers...

Damm near any car, I see them all the time , on a daily basis!!
The ones I try and stay far away from are the ones who have watched the fast and furious one to many times.
