Arrrrrgggghhh!

Sorry for your misfortune. I am happy those beautiful instruments were spared, and hopefully there is no irreparable damaged. I am sure you will investigate what would makes brick anchors fail and I would be curious to know.

It is cool to see that you are still making use of 2 eras of music listening technology, both now replaced by 2 subsequent ones. It all makes your foot tap, so why not!

I'm going to be looking at this fixings when I get home. As for two eras, make that three. There's a nice old AM valve radio just out of sight

I just woke up thinking there had been a car crash outside. Nope. A rack of shelves that has clung to the wall for thirty years came adrift, and dumped about 100 LPs, 200 CDs and assorted goodies all over my desk and floor. The mess is unbelievable. It only failed to drop my turntable, amp etc on the floor because a speaker caught it.

So that's my job when I get home from work. Got to replace all the shelves and sort out the damage.

See: George Carlin. "Too much stuff"

Were there military maneuvers, or earth tremors?
Spirits?
An act of (gulp!) God perhaps?

Teasing of course - glad nothing worse came of it.

I wish I would have kept my turntable an LPs.
I have some in a box that got wet when my basement flooded, I never have looked in that box.
must be at least 20 years.

You can't have too much stuff. Stuff is what makes the world great.
Actually, I know this. All my stuff is piled from floor to 10ft ceilings and I need a carpenter. Then I have a double garage full of stuff, no car.
I know whereof we speak !! I love stuff.
Three years and I'm not done moving in. This is only me. No room for OP stuff.

It's all goodish. I've got some fixing that will hold up the house if need be and I'll put it all back together on Saturday.
