Are cheap budget repair kits worth the $

Concur with the others. Buy quality. They work better. Last longer. Thru the 70s bought up a bunch of Snap On, Mac and Matco tools while I was a mechanic and before I moved into the parts department in the 80s. Still have them. Still use them when I work on my own cars. Over the years they have more than paid for themselves in allowing me to fix something and not have to take the whatever to someone else for repair.

Ah yeh, Washago, so story goes like this

I was working on Washago and it’s A nice place for sure. Then I went home

The next week I was then Working North Bay Area. And like I always do I went to a Value Village Thrift store in North Bay

Well I found that Washago tee shirt there so thought, why not lol I’ve been there I have earned it :). 100% true story

Good story!

Canadian Tire, is where I buy my tools lifetime warranty. They've been around longer than I have .

I am same for car and M/bike tools.
But really I only change strings normally and polish frets twice a year, the tools I wanted are in this kit and usable

I miss Sears.
Craftsman tools - not too expensive, lifetime guarantee.
I just never realized that was going to mean their lifetime, not mine.
Have a bunch of them too, from the 70s. I have a friend, in his mid 80’s, that built engines for NASCAR and dirt tracks. He’d take a few screw drivers back to Sears with broken handles each year and they replaced them. After a few years of this, the salesman goes, “Clem, you know we sell chisels too” :pound-hand:
