what i mean is, could you play a gig on any stage anywhere?
im pretty sure i could.
my current amps are.....
vox ac4c112(modded)
vox ac30cc2x
65 drri(modded)
marshall jcm900 hgdr (i still need a cab for this)
helix lt.
hell, i could play anywhere just with the helix, but you know how us tube amp guys are. i have a headrush frfr112 for it too. its a little bassy if i leave it on the floor like a monitor, but still sounds great for the money.
what are your current amps?

Yup. All I need is one Mark 5 (even my little 25-watter). It will do any sound for any style, and has a direct-out. Through a 4x12 it is far louder than necessary for even an enthusiastic band and doesn't lose its balls in a mix at high volume. I've sold off a bunch of different amps at this point because they were just superfluous to the Mk 5 and taking up space for no reason.

How many amps do I own not sure good thing I don't do drugs I'm excessive compulsive. 2008 I switched from Trainwreck amps to Dumble ODS style amps.
When I switched over it took two years to adjust my playing to the change the way the ODS amp reacts. 2010 I invented the Green Hornet amp ODS platform
but none of the Dumble parts values. Today I'm running two Green Hornet amps a 100 watt ODS low plate classic and a 1984 Fender Super Champ for a touch
of reverb when needed. Now with the Eventide MicroPitch Delay it's out of this world. Stage rig the last eight years two tweed Deluxe amps they are light to lift
Now I have two Green Hornet amps not light with the EVM12L speakers. Just need one more flight case done.

In my band we play loud as hell (practice). I need a 100/50 w tube amp for rehersals. A couple of times I did with the Astoria (30w) and All band complained, "you need more power I can't hear you". But when we did gigs with a PA and monitors it's other thing. Then the Astoria has a perfect power. But Always I carry a 4X12.

I am totally set up. Small shows? The new Mesa Mark V 35 would be plenty.
2x12 and either JVM410 or JMD1 head and, soon, my very own Mark V!! Or on a 4x12 but doesn't get used much no real point. However the hypothetical play any gig anywhere, well, add the 4x12 to anything I have.
Anything between? Depends on what I feel like.
The little 6101 mini stack w matching 1x12.
Silver Jubilee 2558 2x12 50 watter
TSL122 2x12.
New dark green Traynor YCV4050 combo too.

All guitars get rotated too.

Soo... I will love my new Mark V when it arrives next week, I must assume!!

Good point. In the last project I was in I was more commonly using a 1x12. It was more than sufficient stage volume and they were happier mic'ing it and blending that with the direct out signal. A lot easier to transport too.
I hated mixing sound around the band mate's 2203 half stack. Especially smaller venues! Once he got a combo life was way easier.

Yeah, I could easily move around various venues with what I have.
Deluxe Reverb, or a Princeton for real small places.
AC30 for bigger
JTM45 or 50 watt JMPs for even bigger
Hiwatt 100 half stack or Marshall 50 and 100 watt full stack for even bigger.
I’ve always been conscious of what I own, and what role it would eventually play.

I'm going to make the same assumption. The Mark series are on my all time favorite amp list. Along with an early 90s Matchless DC-30 those are best amps I've ever played.

I love my 59 Fender Deluxe, but as a do anything amp the Mark V is the bees knees in my book.

I've owned Mesa amps nothing to write home about repaired a few hundred they suck to work on and have owned Matchless DC-30 they were built well
I still have Matchless transformer sets for the Thunder Chief back in the seventy's Billy Zoom modified my amps kind of spoiled me for life.
