aon's clean instrumental stuff

My long ago friend Mark played a tele it was his favorite instrument, but their band before they got signed, sounded like a cross between Zep an Priest, after they got signed they changed their music to a bluesy hard rock sound, and their name.
But I have never been partial to a tele.
My grandson is the one whom loves the teles...
Cheers

I think id rather have a Strat most of the time, but i do like the Teles and i made that one work for years lol

You see Tele is bad news....

this guys speak from experience... :)

The biggest problem is, I can't get them to sound like the Tele sounds in my head. I'm sure that an Orange Squeeze Compressor would help. But I just can't get it to sound like the Tele honky-tonk guys like Bill Kirchen, Redd Volkaert, or Roy Buchanon. Can get ok rock sounds, but I'd rather use a Gibson for that.

Just stick to rock and forget about the sound in your head, its devil trying to deceive you . Once you forget that sound your life will be more happy :)

I largely agree with that lol i use my tele for lots of non tele sounds more than i should probably. It is fun though for some dirty Rolling Stones or even some Aerosmith stuff!

I have always been a Strat guy and i continue to play my Strat, I played many Tele's over the last 6 years and always wanted one but couldn't get the right tones and looks that i wanted, so after investigating over the last 8 months , i had one made that has all the gear that i chose, i get all the tones that i want, the guitar is one of a kind it has a 5A Maple top which is rare and very hard to find, the builder said chances of getting that again is next to nil. They have a very hard time finding 4A Which they say are rare as well. I didn't want a tray Bridge, and i didn't want a pickguard. And the build Quality and playabilty is like nothing i have experienced in any guitar. And i have never been a fan of single pickups in Tele's that give a tinny sound, with Humbuckers its like gravy and fries, it just takes the right combination to find what you want. I am a happy Tele player now, this guitar will play a wide range of music and could be my only player for sure. But i will keep playing my Godin guitars which are great players .:)

Truthfully there's not too many guitars i just out right hate, least not any of the mainstream designs. Im not a fan really of 7 and 8 string guitars because thats not my style and i always associate them with the Nu Metal movement like Limp Bizkit and Korn. Beyond that? I like most anything
