Anyone working

As I long ago stopped playing covers I am not working on any, and during the lockdown I haven't felt all that creative, but just in the last two/three weeks I have started working on original music again. Not at the point of starting to record again but I have some things in the looper that I think are almost there.
 
ive learned new cover but to get it tight is testing my nerves... Ive been trying so hard and i still sound :poo:...Its been a dream to play It since i started out on guitar, and i get so frustrated i just want to give up. Im like whats the point ,im not having fun and practice progress slower then snail...

oh song is travel in stygian by iced earth, im practicing live version in Athens.
 
I hate when I forget stuff I learned a while back, and either got it down or maybe never got it correct at speed, etc. and went on to something else.
I just realized I forgot the intro to Led Zeppelin You Shook Me when I tried to play it last night.

Been working on the pentatonic riff in Thin Lizzy "Emerald" on and off for a while now.
And the lead to "Jailbreak".
Stumble through them sometimes pretty good, sometimes meh (with a lot of unwanted string ringouts)
 
Man, was jaming with the drummer before he just quit. Recorded a massive amount of songs last few years.. Have to re learn what is going in the set. Makes me think why bother even making a band anymore..just keep banging out new ones..no responsibility..lol.. just hit record.. beat on the drums & have at it. tag a few words here & there ..play some bass & pop in a lead line or 10

Rockin in a Free World is such fun to play! We change up the chorus a bit amd add some harmonies plus carry the notes a bit longer. Neil Young is no Rob Halford!
The new band really needs to continue workimg on originals and tightening up the covers we have but we did add Green Day Holiday amd Blink 182 All the Small Things last week. Need ro run through those again before Friday.
 
Working on next original..triple rec is set..drums are in reaper..and... just unlocked a car for a guy. I don't get out much, mostly dispatch all day..but i love it...

We got to talking...Wife & him just closed on their first house & he just got laid off from paving job. Had him unlock his own car. We got too talking.. i went over & threw my keys in my Mazda cx9 & locked the door....said..' Go open that"..without hesitation..wham bam...he got it open. I could sense all along he enjoyed this

I hired him !!

When i look into someone's eyes who wants to work for the family & wants to proctect that investment..thats who i hire,,,they turn out to be the best workers.
