I never use fuzz but my old 70s Morley Fuzz wah does sound really gnarly.
I have a mid boost added to my Yamaha RGX612 with a variable frequency shift. Now, one can do that in a pedal so why bother? Well, I can change the frequency and/or amount on the fly. It has been years, haven't seen one like it. I would add it to more guitars.
