Not sure what's available by who for them. Want Alder body or maybe Mahogany. with a satin 22 Fret Fender neck. Thinking of ordering a Warmouth custom body with H/S or H/H cofig. and looking for a Fender Highway 1 neck. I remember Fender put out a Mahogany body hardtail a while ago but haven't seen much in an actual Strat body.

This is all I got----

IT was a Lotus I refurbed. dynamite player.

25.00 Craigslist find.
Striped and refinished.
replaced with a loaded PG and new tuners...... new stoptail.... new strap buttons and jack plate....thing was sweet when done /
As I recall I got 150.00 for her

I own 9 Stratocasters and I have a few hairtailed just like Eric Clapton does on his Strats. I put a hardwood.block inside the the tremolo cavity to make the bridge stable making the guitar have more sustain. It's an awesome and cheap mod. Try it out!

My best friend has had one since 76 I used to play it off and on . I got no problem owning a hard tail verse trem cuz I don't use
it anyhow.

I seen and contributed to that post. A very nice white turned to cream colored poly coat hard tail. Love it! Back then they were all ash bodied in that circa. I want an ash body nitro c finish one.

A hardtailed Strat is kind of like a gelding: You gain some stability but miss out on a whole lot of fun.
just sayin'......

No not really if I ever really need some trem action the JEM will do. It should be arriving back this week.
It played and sounded fine when I loaned it out but I already had some plans for it. The white PG has to go....I have a black 1 from the yellow Ibanez build & still need to order pots and pick ups for it. This JEM Jr. actually is a Mahogany body even though I doubt that matters with how thick they paint Ibanez RG's for the most part. :D

I'm in the process of building one from Warmoth parts because Hard tail Stratocaster's are so tough to find. I'm planning on mahogany body with rosewood cap and alder inlaid divider strip, swimming pool rout, Musikraft 1-3/4" wide at the nut rosewood neck, 24-3/4 scale, 12" radius AAA ebony fretboard, 6230 stainless wire level/crowned to .027" off the board....

Well, I had a Kahler on my 1984 Ibanez Destroyer DT555 and a Floyd on an original 1982 Charvel (built for me by Wayne) and neither one had the 100% tuning stability I demand for live playing. I have played a 6 hour set on my Schechter without ever having to adjust the tuning...same with my 1987 Squirecaster with 5 springs on the factory tremolo....my 2016 Gibson SG is also 100% stable....I can't be happy any other way.

I recently played guitar for hire on a recording that required tremolo. For that job, I used a Jackson USA model from the studio's rental rack. A very stable guitar...surprisingly, but I play so hard and aggressively that I could not use it for rhythm parts because I kept driving the bridge sharp with my hand. If all I ever did was play leads, a Floyd might be OK, but I have to be able to play everything....even traditional Spanish music as a musician for hire.

I had one.....liked it--- sold it....

I had one for a short time. TBH, I didn't like it - the essential "Strattiness" that comes from the vibrato was missing. Just didn't have the "zing" I expected from a Strat. I think it would have kicked butt if it'd had humbuckers though.
