Anyone Ever Skin a Guitar???

He's still impressive to me, even without the Massachusetts Institute of Technology degree... :-)
 
I did one a couple of years ago for a local guy.
Looked nice at first, but started to sag after a while where it was wrapped & pulled.
Good news is you can peel it off and have the regular guitar back, after a serious goo be gone session.

I think the vinyl was way too thick for this application, but they have all kinds of funky patterns.
Not having any luck linking the site, but google "Skin your Skunk" it should take you there.
 
I saw something similar for Strat like pickguards. The PG was clear plastic and you could slip any picture design shaped like the PG underneath for a very cool look. I think Yamaha came up with the idea.
