Any one experience Korean Epi Dot

In the gear wars..buddy has a Korean Epi Dot with Cts pots, wiring upgrades & some pickup change. Umm..it was incredible.....was not expecting that...I did great with EE serial Epi's...never had a Korean...oh yes i did..SG ..it was a dif feel..but excellent craftsmanship..anybody have a Korean Dot they can tell me about ?

I don't own one but in my experience the Korean Epi's eat the Chinese ones for lunch. My wife used to have a Korean Epi LP Standard that was close to as good as my Gibsons. I've never picked up a Chinese one that I would plunk my own money down for.
 
I have had 3 Korean epis 2 LP’s 1 SG, changed pups in 2 of them, 1LP and the SG they all where great players, but sorry BFT no dots, but if they are as great an instrument as the ones I had, you would be definitely doing yourself a favor, and saving some coin!

I've not had a Korean Dot but plenty of Les Pauls and SGs. I find the newer Chinese ones to be a better guitar for fit and finish. Some of the Korean ones I've had the quality control was pretty bad, warped necks, high frets etc. That may be just because they were older and had been abused. I also prefer the newer pickups. I know this experience may go against the grain but what can I say. I call them as I see them.
 
My one newer LP will hold its own with the real thing, and I agree the pups are tons better......The QC has stepped up their game, compared to some of the crap (that I will not mention by name) that some put out and charge out the wahzoooo for their high priced crapola...:pound-hand:
 
i am kicking my self right now..should of never let go of the Semi hollows..that was my sound,,even tho everyone was forcing metal at me in 2015.. just wanted to make soulful music..sorta mad at wasting time on 2 full CD's of music i didnt really wanna play..technically..shouldn'tIMG-20160829-00991.jpg even be playing guitar,,lol..forced in a way
