My first Marshall was an AVT, mostly s.s., I thought it sounded great?

That was good enough to start me down this long expensive road .

If it was anything more than a $300 used 40C …… I would never have messed with it ……In retrospect , I love the tone of the 100pF Cap in there instead of the stock 470pF …… The Fizz Fix IMHO !!

Interesting...

I've never had a fizz issue after my tube swaps.

is this your 4210? I thought or had a 1982 4210 & they turned them into channel switchers?
I got it with the head cab and the combo cab but it was in rough shape.
