Well, dang, I looked at the amp I still have and old pictures. Looks like I bought 2 different 8280s. Here’s the one I still have.



And the other one I sold.

I have a few. In the photo (top left to lower right) a '79 100 watt JMP in a Mojo box, Fawn '78 50 watt JMP sitting on a '78 1960A cab, '73 50 watt 1987 JMP sitting on two '72 Lead Bass cabs, '89 JTM 45 reissue sitting on a '70 1990 8 x 10. There's also some Hiwatt and DST stuff mixed in there.

I also have a couple of '87 Jubilee cabs, a '79 Master Model Lead combo, and an '86 Lead 12 practice amp.

I have had several -- they all had the big CBS Fender headstock thats a rare one I think with the ARROW headstock -- damn cool dude

Why did you get rid of the amp?

I was planning to move back to the UK, so I was getting rid of big items in readiness. As it turned out, I'll be staying in Korea for a at least another year, maybe several.

The Origin/Class 5 does it for me. Although, to be fair to the DSL, a speaker change would help a lot - I don't know why Marshall send these out with the two bob speakers instead of charging $30 more and putting a greenback in them???
